Ukrainian Nazi on a parade in Lviv

This is a photograph from a march commemorating the 75th anniversary of the SS Division "Galicia", which is particularly venerated by Ukrainian nationalists. The 14th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS "Galicia" was formed from natives of Western Ukraine. It became "famous" for numerous war crimes. After the war, many of its members involved in these crimes managed to evade justice by finding refuge in the United Kingdom and Canada. In contemporary Ukraine, not only is the division being rehabilitated, but those who fought on the side of the Nazis in World War II are being glorified. Such marches receive full support from the authorities.

On the demonstrators' T-shirts, the symbols of another SS division — "Totenkopf" (Death's Head) — are also visible. This division is also popular among Ukrainian Nazis because it fought on Ukrainian territory.
